I am researching the history of Oulton Park, Little Budworth, near Tarporley, Cheshire. Does any know of any photos of its time as a Resettlement Camp? I would be delighted if any one can provide memories or sight of any pictures of its time 1945-1952. many thanks, John Buckley email johnandritabuckley@gmail.com

36 years after his passing I (now aged 64) am trying to find out a little of my Polish step father MIECZYSLAW STANISLAW RYBIALEK born 26 May 1918 at Bedlno, Sworzcya, Konskie, Lodz. Served with 26 Field Artillery Regt from Feb 1938. Was taken prisoner at Kutno. I believe he ended up in Germany. 1944/5 escaped from a working party with others in N.Italy. Enlisted in Polish forces under British command. 1946 transferred to UK (Scotland) Enlisted in PRC until Jan 1949. I believe he was at Oulton Park (after working at Askern Main Collery in Yorkshire). He later moved to Cornwall and continues his profession as a stone mason / sculptor. I would love to learn something of his childhood in Poland and of course 1939 - 1949...but have not a clue where to start.

I am searching for information on Jozef Wroblewski. He went to Oulton Park on 20/01/47, after his release from the Regular Polish Army as a Polish Resettlement Corps Sgt. I think he stayed there until 06/07/48 where I believe he moved to work in a hotel in Bowness on Windermere. I would be very greatful for any information.
