My father Major John AUGUST, Welch Regiment, was posted to the Polish Resettlement Corps at Comrie, C. W. Peich, from 20 th August 1946 to 31 st August 1948. We lived at Crieff and I went to school at Morrisons Academy. When my father was transferred in 1948 he was given a Polish 'Shield' - red with a metal eagle and an 'axe'. Does anyone have a photo of that camp in 1948? David August

The camp was Camp 21 and held approximately 4000 hard" core Nazis. It was serviced by Cowden camp 282 also outside Comrie. See chapter in my website www.highlandstrathearn.com entitled "A German Friend" Polish troops were used as guards there - Peter
