Hello
On the main Polish resettlement camps in the uk website, on the page showing the map and list of camps in the South West is this: 4 Kres. Komp. Warszt. Godford Village Institute Camp, Wilts.
I have paperwork of my fathers that shows "4 Kres. Komp. Warszt" and i was wondering if there was any further details of the camp in Godford? i have done all the searches i can think of to find a location with no luck.
Anyone??
Thanks

Hi,
My father passed through one of the several Polish resettlement camps at Codford in Wiltshire, before his demobilisation from the 1st Polish Armoured Division in 1947. I now live just three miles away from there. Are you sure the camp was at Godford and not Codford? I thought that perhaps it was a typo on the Camp List site. Let me know.
Vitold.

Hi Vitold
I too thought that Godford could be a typo for Codford, I have done a little research on Codford and have found aerial pictures of the camp and have a Google earth image for present day if I can work out how to post pictures on this forum I will.
