I was born in Chalfont st Giles in 1948 and spent the first 5 years of my life in the prefab huts in Vache Camp. My father was Michal Nycz and had served in the 3rd Carpathian's after being released by the Russians in Siberia in 1941 and fought at Monte Casino. I don’t remember much about my time there but had some friends who I lost contact with when we moved to the council estate in cavendish close in Little Chalfont. The camp has been replaced by a small forest so there is nothing to see there now. Just wondered if anyone else had any connections to it.
